My Profile
Have recently (2012) taken a real cut back as I work full time for Buckingham Equine Vets - we now keep the ponies on a private yard just outside Milton Keynes. Home to Rignell Brora and a new not so quite Highland callled a Connemara!!! - Danesfield Cracker. I recently (Summer 2012) bought myself a treat!! - yearling filly Iona of Tadymor
Lochlands Banjo who has been on loan to Tove and Anne for the last 3 years will now remain with them - I have passed ownership over to them September 2011.
Update as of January 2013, Brora has found a lovely loan home for 2013 with Sophie Alder and I wish her all the best - have fun!!
I have been involved with ponies nearly all my life - I spent my teenage years working for a very reputable dealer Jill Nash from Chorleywood and she really taught me everything I know today. She has an incredible eye for a pony and it is only now I look back and realise what good good ponies we had. Had plenty of opportunity to compete and it was a very successful light weight cob "Albert Hall" that got me interested in Showing.
My love of the Highland began some twenty five years ago when I used to ride a very naughty but nice one for a friend - I forgot his name !!. My first purchase, however, was Birchcroft Freddie. Once bitten the tribe grew bigger and at one time I had in order thirteen - I am now down to a sensible level of four
Eleanor Corkett came to me about 7 years ago looking for some rides, I let her ride Lochlands Banjo a few times in the ring and the rest is history. She also has a new exciting project for 2013 - more news on this later!!
Very much enjoy showing my ponies in hand and under saddle, however it is the breeding side that will always take my preference - thogh at the moment this has to take a back seat - I will return to this however!!
I was appointed onto the Highland Pony Society In Hand judges panel in 2004. I also sit on the BSPS Heritage, PUK, NPS, CHAPS and BSPA panels; - no going back!
Hope you enjoy this site and visitors are always welcome by appointment.
"People keep asking my why I don't show ride - well I have done that bit and below is the evidence!!"

ALBERT HALL - Lightweight Show Cob - "I was young then!"
